Future Carrington set to transform the local economy
HIMOR is working with leading economists to understand Future Carrington’s economic potential, and initial findings show that plans to deliver a mixed-use community for Carrington would transform the local economy and deliver a lasting legacy for Trafford.
Phase One could create up to 1,900 direct jobs and 250 construction jobs per year, with the development worth £107 million to the local economy, generating £13 million household spend within Greater Manchester every year.
The preliminary figures show a bright future for Carrington’s economy, with new residents set to bring a boost for local businesses.
A comprehensive economic report will accompany the planning applications for Phase One of Future Carrington, expected to be submitted this spring.
