Future Carrington site tour for Kate Green MP
Kate Green MP paid the Future Carrington project team a visit to find out more about plans for a new community for Carrington. Kate, Labour MP for Stretford & Urmston, learnt more about HIMOR’s vision to create a lasting legacy for the area.
Emerging Phase One plans include transforming the Carrington village into vibrant community with up to 900 new homes; shops; green spaces; and a sports facilities. In addition to taking a tour of the Carrington estate, Kate also learnt how 1 million sq.ft. of employment space could create up to 1,900 jobs.
Kate Green MP commented: “I was pleased to be given a tour around the Carrington site and hear about HIMOR’s exciting plans for the development.
“It’s encouraging that Future Carrington team are collecting feedback from local residents about what they would like to see from the development, and it’s exciting that they’re planning to create a positive central community base for the people of Carrington.”
HIMOR, based at Carrington Business Park, is working in partnership with Trafford Council and alongside Carrington Parish Council to deliver a transformational vision for the Carrington estate. Consultation on Phase One is ongoing, with the intention to submit planning applications to Trafford Council this Spring.
