Community conversations at Future Carrington workshops
Residents and local businesses joined HIMOR and Trafford Council earlier this month to discuss the developing vision for Future Carrington.
Over 75 people took part in two workshop sessions held at Carrington Business Park, providing valuable feedback and constructive discussions as part of our ongoing consultation.
The workshops brought together community groups, elected representatives, local residents and businesses for a series of round-table discussions. Members of the project team were on hand to answer questions as attendees learned more about the plans for phase one of this transformational development.
A wide range of topics were discussed, with groups focusing on benefits and concerns regarding the vision; their views on the draft masterplan; and what amenities they would like to see as part of a community district centre.
We are currently reviewing the feedback from the workshops, which will, together with responses to our online survey, help inform the preparation of the phase one planning application.
If you were unable to attend the workshops, there is another chance to take a look at the plans and meet the team later this month during a public drop-in session. (Monday 29th February 2016)
In the meantime, if you have any questions or want to discuss our vision, please get in touch. Contact details and links to our Twitter and Facebook pages can be found on the ‘Join In’ page.
