Our vision for Future Carrington is to create a mixed-use community where people want to live and work. But before we do, we want to know what you think about the future of Carrington and the surrounding area.

We are currently consulting on our vision for Phase One of Future Carrington and recently hosted a drop-in public exhibition in February 2016.  If you were unable to make it, you can download the information displayed at the event by clicking here.

The Story So Far

We are committed to being part of the local community as we develop our vision.

In November last year, we invited local people to take part in a survey and tell us about their hopes for the future. We received over 160 responses to the survey and the feedback has been extremely useful as we developed the plans for the site.

The survey results revealed what people think about what Carrington currently has to offer and what they would like to see in the future.

Visit the survey page to learn more about our findings and how this has shaped our vision.

In February 2016, HIMOR and Trafford Council hosted two stakeholder workshops. The round-table discussions saw over 75 people from the community come together to provide constructive feedback on the draft masterplan for Phase One.

A wide range of topics were discussed, with groups focusing on benefits and concerns regarding the vision; their views on the draft masterplan; and what amenities they would like to see as part of a community district centre.

Visit the workshops page to learn more about the community discussions.

Our Next Steps

We’re hosted a public exhibition to provide a chance to meet the team and provide further feedback in February 2016.  We are still consulting on our vision, you can find more about how to view the plans and get in touch with our team by visiting the public exhibition page.

We then plan to prepare and submit outline planning applications to Trafford Council for consideration. The applications will include a Statement of Community Involvement – a document outlining our consultation to date and the feedback we have received.
